Biography 

Nick Rappuhn joined the Augustana athletics department in August 2023. Prior to joining AU, Rappuhn, a native of Saginaw, Michigan, was an athletic communications assistant at Colgate University, where he oversaw the publicity of the Raiders' fifth-ranked women’s hockey program. In addition to women’s hockey, Rappuhn was responsible for the coverage of men’s soccer, cross country, track & field, tennis and rowing.

A graduate of Northern Michigan, Rappuhn worked in the athletics communications office as an undergraduate, serving as the lead media contact for the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams. As part of his coverage, he promoted a national champion. In addition, he traveled with the men’s hockey program, handling gameday media duties. He earned his bachelor of science degree in sports public relations in May 2022 from Northern Michigan while minoring in communications. He earned national runner-up honors in the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest.
